      Clinical Immersion - Our expert Robotic Surgeons will explain how they perform a Robotic Assisted Right Hemicolectomy Together the faculty have performed thousands of colorectal procedures , and will cover operative set up, anatomy, patient selection, procedural steps, techniques and complication management.

      Professor Alexander Heriot is a Consultant Colorectal Surgeon and is the Director of Cancer Surgery at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre in Melbourne and Director of the Lower GI Tumour stream at the Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre. He qualified from Cambridge University and completed general surgery training in the UK. He has undertaken colorectal fellowships at St Vincent’s Hospital, Melbourne, St Mark’s Hospital, London, and the Cleveland Clinic, Ohio. He has a focus on minimally invasive surgery for colorectal cancer with a particular interest in the development, application, and teaching of robotic colorectal surgery.

      Associate Professor Satish Warrier is a colorectal surgeon at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, Alfred Health and Epworth Healthcare. Satish Graduated from University of New South Wales ( UNSW) in 2002 with MBBS/ BSc (Medical) and qualified as a general surgeon in Victoria in 2009. He completed the Australasian Colorectal Training scheme including a 12 month clinical fellowship at Cleveland Clinic (2011). Satish is the immediate past chair of the Victorian Training Program for general surgery, the incoming Australian deputy for General Surgery Australia training board (GSA), the SIMG representative for GSA, the Colorectal Surgical Society of NZ (CSSANZ) representative for the surgical oncology division of RACS, the CSSANZ program director for Alfred Health, and a newly appointed member to the CSSANZ training board. Satish also chairs the Epworth Healthcare Colorectal Audit.

      Associate Prof Stephen Bell is a specialist colorectal surgeon specialising in minimally invasive techniques. His major interests include laparoscopic and robotic colorectal surgery. He treats all forms of colorectal disease including cancer, inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn's & ulcerative colitis), diverticular disease and bowel dysfunction

      Dr Helen Mohan is the Director of Clinical Research at IMRA, an International Colorectal / General Surgery Fellow of RCSI and Consultant Colorectal Surgeon at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre.
